Caterina House now has 200 apartments under management, with the addition of the Editorial building in Barcelona to its portfolio

Caterina House, an operator specializing in the flexible living segment with a presence in Barcelona, Madrid and Malaga, has added a new building to its national portfolio, Editorial de Barcelona, which now has more than 200 apartments under management in Spain as a whole. The property is located in the vicinity of Paseo de Gracia, one of the most highly valued areas of the Catalan capital. The operator thus strengthens its commitment to leadership in the corporate rental sector in complete properties, and meets its growth forecast for the first nine months of the 2023 financial year. Looking ahead to the last quarter, Caterina House anticipates new additions in the three Spanish cities in which it is present, which will allow it to significantly increase its offer aimed at the medium-stay corporate client. The Caterina Editorial building has 12 apartments of different types, including six three-bedroom units with two bathrooms. In addition, the penthouses have private terraces and two apartments on the second floor also have private interior terraces. Likewise, the rooftop floor has a recreation area that will allow guests to enjoy services added to the accommodation offer.

A historic building

Caterina House operates this building under management. It is located on Bonavista Street and was the headquarters of the former Editorial Seguí, a modernist building included in the Architectural Heritage Inventory of Catalonia. It is, therefore, a historic building that adds a premium offer to the operator's portfolio of apartments. With a rectangular floor plan, the building was originally designed to house the publishing industry. It consists of a ground floor, a main floor and a crown floor, and its structure is made of metal. The main entrance is divided into two doorways and leads to a lobby area containing the main staircase to the upper floors. It was built in the second decade of the twentieth century and currently retains its colonial conception with high ceilings, exposed beams and wide spaces. Artistically it stands out for the craftsmanship of the decoration of the facades. It has two awards from the Barcelona City Council: a second mention in 1912 and the third prize for finished buildings in 1913. Residents of the Editorial building will also be very close to two other gems of Barcelona architecture such as La Pedrera and Casa Batlló. This building is the 19th in Caterina House's offer and allows to continue the development of a high quality corporate product that represents the company's strategy. It is not in vain that Caterina House is the leader in this segment in complete properties in Spain and continues with its expansion and growth plan. Thanks to its recent alliance with Meridia Capital, Caterina House has the support of a leading alternative investment manager in Spain with more than 1,000 million euros in assets under management. In turn, the operator works as a specialized proptech with a high degree of digitalization, which allows it to create an optimal residential experience tailored to the demands of today's professional.
