If there is something that characterizes Caterina House spaces is the attention to detail and decoration. That is why our team is always up to date with interior design and decoration trends. Although we are in the month of November, the trends that will be strong in 2022 are already beginning to glimpse and here we leave you some of the keys.

Green I love you green

Beyond being one of the star colors of recent years, in all its tones, spaces will be filled with green. Especially through plants and the creation of green areas or gardens. After confinement, being in contact in some way with nature and filling different corners of the home with life has been gaining importance.

Return to the organic

Shapes and textures take us back to nature, with a predominance of natural materials such as stone and wood and rounded and soft shapes. It is a return to the origin, to the organic. The tones are also natural, basically ecru, gray and brown, which fill the spaces with serenity. The textiles are basically cottons, wools and linens, almost always respecting their textures and imperfections.

Sustainability

The future will be sustainable or it will not be, and interior design is beginning to transform under this premise. More and more people are opting for sustainable and recycled materials,  But this sustainability can also be seen through the use of antique furniture and materials, which are given a second or third life, either maintaining their original appearance or restoring them.

In a retro key

As in the world of fashion, it seems that any time in the past was better or at least more fun. That is why year after year we look to past decades to redefine spaces. In 2022, the 70s are back with a vengeance, especially through their colors and pieces that transform interiors, furniture with personality that travels through time without remorse.

Craftsmanship

This trend has been forging for years and is a sign of appreciation for what is well done, furniture or pieces of decoration and household items of quality and handmade. It can be from a lamp to a rug or a tableware, but it is all about valuing craftsmanship, quality materials and the savoir faire of expert hands.

A tip: mix textures

Even if you opt for the sobriety of monochrome, you can give depth to your home by combining materials and textures in the same tone. Bouclé, a pleasant and warm fabric used in the upholstery of sofas and chairs that dresses up any space, has been making a strong comeback since 2021.
